Primary Purpose:
Provide support to the instructional program through work with campus administrators and the counselor to implement the behavior intervention plan. Maintain a highly structured and orderly environment. Work under the general supervision of the principal, assistant principal, and counselor on a daily basis.
Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Associate's degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment as required
Valid educational aide III certification
Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to use personal computer
Ability to implement and monitor behavioral intervention plans
Experience:
Three years experience as classroom aide or 30 semester hours of college credit with emphasis on child growth and development Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Support
  1. Work with campus staff and administrators to create and maintain an orderly and highly structured campus environment.
  2. Work with individual students to complete assignments.
  3. Consult classroom teachers regarding student assignments.
  4. Maintain individual files of completed student assignments and return to classroom teachers.


Student Management
  1. Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to board policies, administrative regulations, and Individual Behavior Plans.
  2. Record student attendance and discipline referrals according to established procedures.
  3. Maintain accurate data on behavior plans.
  4. Model appropriate behaviors.
  5. Assist administration with restorative practices and goal setting to lessen or eliminate behavioral issues.
  6. Support student academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs in a variety of classroom settings, as assigned.
  7. Supervise students throughout the school day as assigned.


Other
  1. Maintain confidentiality.
  2. Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events when required.


Customer Care Skills
  1. Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff, and other professionals at all times.
  2. Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to the appropriate staff.
  3. Ensure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of going the extra mile for others.
  4. Ensure all requests for information are dealt with in an appropriate timeframe.
  5. Create and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented environment toward all internal and external customers.


Supervisory
Responsibilities:

Supervision of students assigned to in-school suspension/Refocus. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment
Posture: Moderate standing; occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping
Motion: Moderate walking
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15)
Environment: Work inside; may work outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
