o Works in the refrigerated wet plant environment 90% of the time monitoring manufacturing processes.
o Rotates between Raw and RTE based on schedule from Compliance Manager.
o Required to work overtime, very early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holiday hours (if needed) as scheduled by Manager.
o Adapt to a fast paced environment - be willing to remain flexible to accommodate changing business conditions.
o Assure compliance with the established programs by collecting data through observations and measurements - accurately inputting and reporting results to plant management in order to make adjustments to meet established plant guidelines.
Thermometer and Oven Calibrations Pre-Op Inspection Employee Hygiene (GMP) Evaluations Microbiological, Hygiene and Allergen Swabbing Chemical Sampling and Titrations During-Op Inspections Manufacturing Audits Ingredient Inspections Packaging Audits Finished Product Inspections Documentation, Records and Practices in the Plant Other responsibilities as needed.
o Train plant associates and new hires as directed o Place raw, in process or finished product on HOLD o Report discrepancies with suggested solutions.
o Manages data collection forms - hard copies and electronic versions assuring the most current is being used.
o Organizes files and paperwork associated with the processes monitored.
o Able to solve problems and resolve conflicts without deviating from plant Personal Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices Food Safety & Quality Programs.
o Perform physical activities such as lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, standing in the refrigerated plant for long periods of time, bending, crouching, climbing, walking.
o Pro-actively assist team members, managers and employees.
Preferred skills/requirements:
At least 6 months experience in a FSIS regulated establishment.
Knowledge about State and Federal Food Safety Regulations helpful but not required Demonstrated experienced with Computer software, computer links, internet, interfaces, downloads, file management, spreadsheets, word documents, graphics, images, reporting.
Demonstrated experience with accurate mathematic calculations - calculator, spreadsheet etc.
Attention to Detail - Good Time Management - Team Player - Good Listener - Dependable - Good Attendance a must - Able to handle and adapt to Flexible Work Schedule.
Must be able to work independently and within group settings.
Effective verbal and written communication skills - Bilingual - English and Spanish Benefit Conditions:
